Paperbomb
Imagine all bombs are made of paper...
The sculpture, created by the German-Italian artist Nessi Nezilla, is inspired by the origami cranes of the Hibakusha Sadako Sasaki and reflects the ambivalence of destruction and creation as well as war and peace.
An honourable work, a great challenge and successful cooperation.
The artist's request for the production of the sculptures came at the end of 2023 - the order was then placed in February 2024. In less than eight weeks after delivery of the 3D-printed 10-part models (PLA models for direct burn-out), the first of a total of four commissioned ‘Paperbombs’ was cast in aluminium, chased and painted white. Acceptance by the artist and delivery in a specially made transport crate took place at the end of April 2024. The ‘Paperbomb’ is another impressive work that the Manufaktur Strassacker has successfully realised together with the artist Nessi Nezilla.
