Digital atelier
In the digital atelier, models are archived, enlarged and reduced in size. However, data can also be created completely digitally as "free forms" without previous physical modelling.

Scanning
With different scanner types, the contours and surface structures of the physical models are captured and digitised as a polygonal grid.
However, in order for a fully sculpted figure to be completely digitised, several scans usually have to be created and then connected together.
Digital Retouche
Similar to the procedure for manual/traditional retouching, the holes created during scanning must be closed, the fineness of the polygonal grid determined and the object placed in three-dimensional space.
Missing segments can be remodelled. This is done by the trained eye of the digital modeller, who can also sharpen and re-texture this digitally with various digital tools thanks to his experience in manual modelling.
Print blanks
The created print blanks can be realised in different ways (see realisation process). The data sets can fulfil various purposes, e.g. archiving, prototyping, enlarging or reducing models and planning and creating castable partitions.

Reinforcement fitting
Digital cast planning
Digital cast planning makes it possible to simulate the sprues and production-related partitions as well as the assembly planning on the digital model. The partings can therefore be determined with maximum precision and accuracy of fit.
Static calculation
Our team plans and calculates - if the project requires it - the necessary structural elements and their dimensions.
Post Production Scan
The post-production scan is used to check the cast moulded parts for warpage or uneven shrinkage.
This is necessary for the accuracy of fit between the segments and the fitting of a reinforcement for special projects.
Reinforcement fitting
Reinforcement is often necessary for statically load-bearing parts or large sculptures.
The internal statics are adapted to the metal shell. This also guarantees a perfect fit between the structural and cast metal elements.

Mill models
PMMA
Furan resin printed sand moulds
Furan resin printed models
We work with print blanks in a maximum installation space of approx. 4000 x 2000 x 1000 mm. These are mostly used for large model segments to create models. The printing process has a resolution of up to 150 dpi and a layer height of 300 µm.
Mill models
We create milling patterns for sand casting on the automatic casting machine through to manual patterns.
In addition, we also produce moulded parts with geometric surfaces as solid models in all common solid materials, e.g. Oreole, Styropore and aluminium.
PMMA
We work with directly mouldable models made of printed PMMA material. Sprues can also be digitally moulded, printed and applied directly inside the model.
Furan resin printed sand moulds
We work with large-format casting moulds, which are produced as direct sand-printed furan resin moulds. These moulding processes allow a very dense, geometrically accurate casting blank. Cores, sprue channels and ventilation systems can also be printed directly.
